Francescas’s Nursery

Finally sharing Francesca’s beautiful nursery reveal all made possible by the fabulous team at Decorum Studio.

I told the Decorum girls I was envisioning a French inspired nook for our best girl and they absolutely NAILED IT!!

One of the main issues I had with decorating this room is the size. Don’t get me wrong, the space is absolutely charming, but it’s teeny. There’s only one small half closet and not a ton of storage. Really though I just want the room to feel big and beautiful and bright and airy.

Every last detail is treś chic and makes Francesca’s tiny nursery seem huge. Even better, Decorum Studio helped me to pair pieces I already had and loved with new pieces to complete Francesca’s special room.

Even though Francesca is my third child, this is the first time I’ve been able to go all out on a nursery. After struggling with infertility and going through a failed adoption before Grant and Gianna, I was too scared to decorate a nursery. I thought somehow preparing for a child would jinx us. I didn’t want to get my hopes up and then risk losing another child.

I couldn’t even bring myself to make Francesca’s room beautiful until the adoption was finalized. But here it is and I could not be more pleased! In fact, it’s now my very fav space in our house.

Looking to style a nursery of your own? Decorum Studio has some helpful tips for you!

Styling Tips for decorating a Nursery:

1) Pick two statement pieces first and then build around those items by choosing 2-3 preferred colors to be carried throughout the space.

2) Don’t be afraid to mix styles. Contemporary and Boho. Classic and Modern. Simplistic and Eclectic.

3) Finish the room with plush, soft, and unique accessories and photos to compliment the decor.
